What is Northern Game Summit?
Northern Game Summit, NGS for short, is a yearly held game development conference and networking event in Kajaani, Finland. It is for all the people interested in game industry, and professionals from video game companies all over the world are invited to come and share their wisdom. The event provides an easy-going environment for game creators to mingle, connect and exchange ideas.
NGS is a small, intimate and special event, where students can sit at the same table with the game industry veterans and inspire each other. The event includes a solid package of diverse speeches with meaningful topics in the game industry during the conference days. The speeches are usually divided into rough tracks, for example: programming, art, production and design!
The NGS Team is the group behind the event. The team consists of a yearly changing group that includes students from Kajaani UAS and people from the Kajaani Game Development Scene.
Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK) is a proactive, genuinely international university of applied sciences with a strong regional and national profile. An international learning and development community consisting of approximately 2000 students and 230 experts operates in its own compact campus area located in Kajaani’s impressive natural surroundings.
